Warawar Community Consultative and Advocacy Workshop on Seasonal Movement/migration of cattle and cattle thefts at Warawar Boma in Baac payam of Aweil East County on 23rd March 2021
To strengthen peaceful co-existence through advocating a local policy on cattle migration into Northern Bahr El Ghazal state, CIPAD will financial and technical support from United Nations Development programme, has conducted community consultative and advocacy workshop on seasonal movement/migration of cattle and cattle thefts at Warawar Boma in Baac payam of Aweil East County on 23rd March 2021. This activity is implemented to address the root causes of community conflicts which lay between injustice and lack of policy that regulate cattle migration and management of cattle theft issues.
30 people (15 female & 15male) consisting of Boma and Payam administrators, paramount chiefs, Executive and sub-chiefs, landlords, youth and women leaders, representatives of joint border peace committee, cattle keepers, farmers and faith-based groups (Islam/ Christianity) attended the workshop.
