MADHOL COMMUNITY PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT GROUP TRAINING CONDUCTED
As a follow up activity to the organized community sensitization meeting on trauma and community psychosocial support in Warawar in April 2021 which led to the formation of the community psychosocial support group, Community Initiative for Partnership and Development (CIPAD) successfully conducted one (1) day training on trauma healing and psychological first aid targeting community psychosocial support groups in Madhol Boma of Aweil East County attended by 20 (16 females) participants who are members of community psychosocial support only on 7th of June 2021.
As the results of the training, participants have an
- enhanced skills and knowledge of trauma healing and psychological first aid to effectively provide psychosocial support to survivors of violence in Madhol Boma of Aweil East County, Northern Bahr El Ghazal State; and also
- enhanced understanding of their role in regard to prevention and management of trauma in communities in Madhol Boma of Aweil East County, Northern Bahr El Ghazal State. The training was officially opened and closed by Representative of the State Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare who appreciated UNDP, United Nations Peace Building Funds (UNPBF) and the Government of Sweden for their tremendous support.
This activity was implemented by CIPAD with financial and technical support from UNDP’s Peace and Community Cohesion Project (PaCC) funded by the Government of Sweden and United Nations Peacebuilding Funds.
