Coordination Meeting of Malualbaai Community Volunteer Group of Counsellors was successfully Supported on 21st March 2023 in Malualbaai Payam, Aweil East County, Northern Bahr El Ghazal State.
Community Initiative for partnership and Development (CIPAD) with support from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)’s Peace and Community Cohesion (PaCC) funded by the Government of Sweden has successfully conducted Coordination Meeting of Malualbaai Community Volunteer Group of Counselors on 21st March 2023 attended by 16 participants (10 women and 6 men).
The meeting supported has equipped members of Malualbaai Community Volunteer Group of Counselors with relevant skills and knowledge through experiences sharing to
- provide more psychosocial support services in their respective communities
- identify, document trauma incidences and provide psychosocial support services to the survivors within their respective communities
- help the victims to access other available services through the available GBV referral pathways.
It was a (1) day exchange and learning meetings between Malualbaai and Madhol community volunteer counsellors which enabled them shared their experience and knowledge on how to enhance their work of identifying trauma incidences and provide pyschosicial support services to truama survivors in their respective communities in Aweil East County.
As the result of the meeting supported, skills and knowledge of 16 participants invited has increased through coordination meetings that enable them to identify trauma issues and provide psychosocial support services to people in need in their respective communities through at least one meeting supported.
The meeting was attended by relevant government officials from the Ministry of Gender, child and Social welfare; County administration and Payam administration as well. It was opened and closed by the Payam Administrator of Madhol Payam who thanked UNDP, Sweden and CIPAD for the supportive action.
